自從圣戰(zhàn)新娘沙米瑪•貝居姆請求回國生子以來，英國圣戰(zhàn)分子遺孀及孩子就成為不少人權(quán)組織的關(guān)注重點(diǎn)。他們時(shí)不時(shí)走上街頭游行，要求政府保護(hù)仍被困在敘利亞的英國公民，尤其是婦女兒童。

近日，《泰晤士報(bào)》消息透露，英國政府已作出最終決定：就讓他們在戰(zhàn)亂地區(qū)聽天由命吧。

Children of British foreign fighters stuck in warzones will be left to their fate， the government has ruled。

英國政府裁定，困在戰(zhàn)區(qū)的英籍外國戰(zhàn)士的孩子命運(yùn)如何只能由上天決定了。

Sajid Javid made the decision in one of his last acts as home secretary before his promotion to Chancellor of the Exchequer last month， The Times has learnt。

《泰晤士報(bào)》獲悉，這一決定是現(xiàn)財(cái)政大臣賽義德·賈維德在他上個(gè)月還擔(dān)任內(nèi)政大臣時(shí)做出的。

He concluded that it was too dangerous to dispatch military or civilian personnel to rescue babies and minors who have British citizenship from camps in northern Syria。

他的結(jié)論是，派遣軍隊(duì)或非軍事人員，從敘利亞北部的營地救出有英國公民身份的嬰兒和未成年人太危險(xiǎn)了。

救援人員面臨的危險(xiǎn)是一方面，救回來之后可能引發(fā)的一系列問題也令人擔(dān)憂。

Alongside the risk to rescuers， there were also concerns that parents who had been stripped of their citizenship could use their repatriated children to claim British citizenship under human rights laws。

除了救援人員面臨的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)外，還有人擔(dān)心，被剝奪公民身份的父母可能會(huì)利用這些被救出的孩子，根據(jù)人權(quán)法索要英國公民身份。

The decision， revealed by The Times， will likely spark criticism from children‘s charities arguing that innocent youngsters should not be made to pay for their parents’ mistakes。

《泰晤士報(bào)》披露的這一決定極有可能會(huì)引發(fā)兒童慈善機(jī)構(gòu)的批評，他們認(rèn)為父母的錯(cuò)誤不應(yīng)該由無辜的孩子來背負(fù)代價(jià)。

然而英國網(wǎng)友對政府做出的這項(xiàng)決定難得表現(xiàn)出一致，他們紛紛拍手叫好。

完全不是我們的責(zé)任，不是我們把他們送到那里的，他們的孩子和我們也沒有任何關(guān)系。

To use that well known phrase “ for the many not the few” ， Sajid Javid made this decision for the security of the UK

引用“為了多數(shù)而不是少數(shù)”這句名言，賽義德·賈維德做出這個(gè)決定是出于英國安全的考慮。

Excellent decision。 It‘s great to see a few UK politicians showing they have some balls。

很棒的決定。終于看到一些英國政客有種的表現(xiàn)了。

Anyone who disagrees with this decision should be free to sign themselves up to be party of any rescue mission and put their own lives in danger。 It‘s okay shouting to bring them back without putting themselves in danger to do so。 Put up or shut up!

任何不同意這一決定的人都應(yīng)該讓他報(bào)名去參加救援任務(wù)，自己置身危險(xiǎn)之中去吧。這個(gè)險(xiǎn)不是他們自己冒，當(dāng)然能大聲嚷嚷著把他們救回來。要么你直接行動(dòng)，要么就閉嘴!

Did they ask for government assistance to get into Syria? No。 So why should they havegovernment assistance to get out of Syria?

他們進(jìn)入敘利亞的時(shí)候?qū)で笳畢f(xié)助了嗎?沒有。所以為什么逃出敘利亞需要政府幫助了?

可不能救敵人啊!

不管危不危險(xiǎn)，當(dāng)初去那里是他們自己的選擇。
